This podcast is about bringing parents, players, and coaches together around the most important aspects of the youth sports experience. You have thousands of teachable moments in the context of a 15-year window where kids are most open to learning and development - physically, mentally, tactically, emotionally, psychosocially, and in terms of core character.

The goal of this podcast is to boost our enjoyment of the game and of the gift we have in our children. We hope to help parents, players, and coaches to make the most of the time we have with our kids, and to launch them into the world of adulthood with a solid toolbox of life skills.

Mistakes are a part of life. When we stop making mistakes, it usually means we stop trying to do anything. Without mistakes, we stop growing and we encourage those around us to stop growing. So why are we so bitter about our mistakes? In this episode, we talk about the value of mistakes and how we can send a signal to our kids with the right message. Youth sports allows us the gift of creating thousands of teachable moments in a safe environment. In this episode are practical tips for what to say to kids (for parents and for coaches) when we come across mistakes. Those of us who make more mistakes, improve a lot faster. We grow faster. We give ourselves permission to be human.
